Un-thinkable (I’m Ready)

Ok so I may just be a little bit late on this one but I will share it anyway. I am a big fan of both Alicia Keys and Beyonce; anything with their name on it is of interest to me. I bought Alicia Key’s album the day it was available at Musica in South Africa and was far from disappointed! Un-thinkable is one of the songs that I fell in love with after a second listen and am so happy that she chose it for a music video, I think me and Alicia are just telepathic like that. I love the video but I will leave you to make your own decision, enjoy, it’s my jam for the weekend 🙂

In Honour of a Pop Legend

On this day last year Michael Jackson passed on and sadly the world honoured and gave him the due respect that he yearned for, for so very long! No one will ever fill his shoes, R.I.P. Micheal.
I loved the speech that was made by al Sharpton at MJ’s memorial service last year and would like to share it with you:
The Rev. told the congregation that “Michael brought blacks, whites, Asians and Latinos together,” and that “it was Michael Jackson who said ‘we are the world’ to feed the hungry long before Live Aid”.
He then turned his attention to the three children, seated in the front row surrounding Jackson’s mother Katherine, saying: “I want his children to know there was nothing strange about your daddy, it was strange what your daddy had to deal with.”
The speech prompted a standing ovation, with Jackson’s daughter Paris among the first to stand.

Jaden Smith – Already following in dad’s VERY BIG footsteps..

“I was born from two stars so the moon’s where I land”

This is the closing line to Jaden Smith’s rap verse in the new Soundtrack “Never Say Never” for his new movie, The Karate Kid. Jaden is very blessed to have talented & famous parents, Will & Jada Smith and it seems like the apple hasn’t fallen too far from the tree, he crept into everyone’s heart with a sterling performance in the movie “The Pursuit of Happyness” where he acted alongside his father who was nominated for a Best Actor award at the Oscar’s for this movie. He currently stars in the remake of The Karate Kid movie which was released in the States on the 11th of June alongside veteran Jackie Chan and it grossed $56 million in its opening weekend beating The A-Team movie which opened on the same weekend and grossed $26 million. I think Jaden definitely has a bright future ahead of him in Hollywood and I just watched the trailer of the new movie and even though it’s a remake, I definitely want to see it when it hits our shores.
The official theme song for the movie is “Never Say Never” by Justin Bieber featuring Jaden. The video is just so cute with the two of them in studio watching clips of the movie and will be such a heart-clincher for all their young fans. Watch this space as Little Jaden follows in his dad’s footsteps.
